Biosphere is a proposal for connecting water and food through a landscape people could explore. The vision remains subject to design development.

Why the idea exists

Eight relationships. One living system.

Could a visitor experience how everyday resources connect, rather than encounter each sustainability idea in isolation?

Biosphere is being considered as an interpretive landscape. Its purpose would be to show how natural resources move through cultivation and return to the soil.

    Air

    Atmospheric humidity could become the first input in a visible resource cycle.

    Water

    Air-to-water technology could supply the growing systems and landscape.

  3. 03

    Hydroponics and landscaping

    Captured water could support controlled cultivation and planted public spaces.

  4. 04

    Fruits and vegetables

    The growing systems could provide fresh produce while making cultivation visible to visitors.

  5. 05

    Air-to-Fork dining

    Fresh produce could move from cultivation into a dining experience within the landscape.

  6. 06

    Organic waste collection

    Kitchen and garden waste could be collected and sorted for reuse within the system.

    Vermicomposting and gaushala care

    Organic waste and material from the gaushala could help create nutrient-rich vermicompost.

  8. 08

    Plant growth and cleaner air

    The compost could enrich plant growth, helping purify the air and complete the cycle.

Planning concepts

How the cycle could take shape

These spatial studies translate the eight-stage relationship into places people could experience. Their details may evolve through design development.

    Atmosphere into water

    Air-to-water equipment is being explored as a possible starting point for the cycle, with water then supporting growing and landscape uses.

  2. 02

    Controlled growing

    A polyhouse or other controlled-growing environment could make cultivation visible and connect it to learning about water and food.

  3. 03

    Air-to-Fork dining

    A proposed dining setting could interpret the growing system through food, bringing cultivation and shared experience closer together.

  4. 04

    Organic waste to soil

    Kitchen and landscape waste could move through vermicomposting so nutrients may return to planting rather than leave the cycle.

  5. 05

    Gaushala and cultivation

    A gaushala is being considered within the broader soil and cultivation story, subject to operational and design development.

  6. 06

    Landscape and the heritage well

    The heritage well could become a spatial and interpretive focus, with planting, water and visitor movement arranged around it.
